Nominations: May 22nd, 2009 until May 30th: Show your interest by emailing us a paragraph about your qualifications no later than May 31st.

II. Social and Community Events:
Program Specific Event
Each Program gets $200 to spend to help create community with their program.
If not participate or show interest in time, then the money goes back to the SGA’s general fund.
To show interest, a person must email SGA account and tell us that he/she/they would like to use the $ for this event.
Examples:
By a round of coffee for your schoolmates
Pizza delivered at school for lunch during one of the days you are there
Donate time and $ to soup kitchen.
We’ll be there at the event to take pictures and give away prizes

We have almost $5,000 left to spend before the end of the term. We decided to use the money to fund individual program events, improvements to our student lounge, summer events.

We have no solid information on how much money we have in our budget.

II. Community Service
Got barrel for Alameda County Community Food Bank. Emailed Lewis Bundy about sending a notice around to the entire school. Put flyers up around school.
•FU: Abi update the web page.
Men’s clothing will probably go to Yeah! in Berkeley, a Youth/teen shelter.
•FU: Abi will try to find another clothing donation place.
III. Events
Warriors’ Game
Kale got us a group rate of $35/person which includes hot dogs, drinks, and chips (no parking) and a ticket.
Tentative Game Date: Sunday, January 25, 2009, 6PM
•FU: Kale to get tickets. Abi to assist with money funds and putting information on web site. Stacey to put information on board.
Winter Formal
Dinner, dancing, alcohol
Tentative Date: Thursday, January 15, 2009
•FU: Kale to check on prices and see where we can afford to have our event. Abi to check on payment options for event.
Bone Marrow Drive
Student is looking for a bone marrow transplant match.
•FU: Abi to post on web site. SGA to create a flyer and send to Lewis Bundy for school-wide distribution.

Explored official Argosy merchandise on campusvue web site. Brainstormed additional designs, color choices, and SGA logos.
•FU: Stacey will check in with Carrie Rice’s (student) about her clothing company and their prices.
III. Events

A week-long set of events including yoga classes (Stacey), aerobic exercise (Kale), drawing, music “therapy”, massage by donation, meditations, dog therapy.
•FU: Abi to send out request for massage therapists, etc. Plan date at next meeting.
IV. Complaints / Suggestions
Make Rooms 110-112 a café with comfortable couches, food, and drink.
•FU: Abi to create a proposal for “The Session,” a student café.

I. Budget
Reviewed budget and signed reimbursements for photo developing, decorating our boards, and renewing our website subscriptions.
II. Merchandise
Examined what merchandise we still have left from last year. Each SGA member took one or two items to wear to promote Argosy. Merchandise will be in Lewis Bundy’s storage area. When the Student Services’ offices are open, SGA will have access to our merchandise.
III. Events
Congratulated Kale on his successful baseball game planning. Kale explained the lengths he had gone to encourage counseling students to attend the game. He also described his frustration with a lower turnout than what was expected. Many parking vouchers are left over from the event.
New event: BBQ for Buddies on October 4th, 2008 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. This event will help Buddies meet each other. This date was picked specifically because it worked well for the newer counseling students. Buddies registration sign-ups will be sent to students and faculty.
IV. Website
Website difficulties addressed. Godaddy.com domain name was secured for the next three years as was web design program for the next year. Website is up and running again and has been updated to include new baseball pictures, announcements about the BBQ for Buddies event, and the events’ calendar.
V. Complaints / Suggestions
Student complaints about the website not being up and running, the refrigerator, the library losing its study rooms, and the lack of parking spaces.
VII. Advertisement
Stacey did an excellent job making our SGA board look beautiful. It has become a lovely focal point for our students to learn about the SGA.

Our next meeting will be before our BBQ. Time and date to be announced soon.

I. Administrative Counsel Access
SGA asked to attend monthly meeting for administrative counsel, which meets Mondays at 1:30. Consists of program chairs, president, administration, library, student services, and business manager. Goal is general operations, NOT personnel. If SGA would like, we can attend monthly, weekly or whatever we would like.
II. Follow up meetings
a) with Bonnie MacBride
Looking to schedule a meeting with Bonnie MacBride for the second week of September where all members of SGA can attend. Needs to be on a Tues. or Wed. afternoon to fit Bonnie’s schedule.
b) with SGA
Stacey sent out email to all SGA asking for Fall schedules as well as scheduling a meeting with Bonnie MacBride for the second week of Sep. Stacey also asked to schedule a meeting between SGA prior to baseball game August 28th.

Discussed campus issues: sofa in student lounge (freecycle-if want to lift-Stacey’s Anthony and Kale), Michael Gallow starting up a toastmasters’ club (Stacey approved it), not having room 112 for our lounge, change machine, vending machine, running in honor and in support of Dr. Lytle’s fight (FU: group consensus is no!)
